| James Holden's site has had no news posted since May and no journal entries in June. He said he was working on an artist album, but I can't find any news or possible release date on it. He hasn't been on essential mix six '02 I believe, and is never on the Digweed show. So, I can't even get his live sets (from freshly mixed that is). And Balance 005 came out about 2 years ago. He is so talented, but his attempts to please a world wide audience have seemed... how do I put this lightly... half-assed. Does anybody know why he teases us Holden fans so? |

I commend him for that. He's not pushing himself into the limelight, and I very much respect that. |

Yes... this is really causing me to lose interest in him, and border community as a whole. They still put out the best music around... but its all so few and far between :(
But on the upside... whenever that troop puts out new stuff... its ALWAYS worth the wait. |

| according to last i heard of james, he´s locked up in the studio making an EP. Lump will probably be on it, or get a seperate release, as well. |

I understand if he doesn't want to sacrifice qualtiy for putting out releases, but what is stopping him from releasing a mix cd to satisfy his loyal (you would have to be at this point) fanbase. While his releases are very original, and a few tracks are unbelieveable, as a whole his releases just seem O.K. His Balance CD was stellar, and was unlike anything that had been released at the time. I can't say that about the vast majority of what he has been doing the past 2 years.
And speaking of dissappearing acts, whatever happened to Rob Dougan? |
