Have any of you attended a live performance? (pg. 4)

Can't even remember all the DJs I've seen.. Especially not when trying to include hardcore DJs from back in those days.

Most impressive in the last five or so years were Hawtin (this summer) and Digweed (back in 2000), among others.

yep, that's what i was thinking and posted artists/groups who i have seen performing "live" with some gear as keyboards/synths, drums, whatever there is.. and/or some additional people as vocalists, percussionists, guitarists,.. instead of just spinning the records. For simple DJs i've seen too many over the past 12-13 years to list them all but i can say i have seen Orkidea 100+ times. :stongue:

simple DJ wise Ive been to Global Gathering 2004 and 2005 and Ronski Speed just recently @ Dance Acadamy in plymouth

Seen Ferry Corsten. Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond, Mauro Picotto, Markus ( his first UK performance @ GG 2k5 if i remember rightly ), Eddie Haliwell, Marco V, Sasha and Digweed

John Digweeds set at GG 05 OMFG :D :D never like Prog much but that changed my views around

Playing Live, the only person who i saw live was M.I.K.E at GG 04
Thats it.... still a noob :stongue: need to see more people

Edit: Well non-trance Djs ive seen are..

Dj Hixxy
Rob Tissera
Lisa Lashes
Ed Real
Tidy Boys
K90
Amber D
Carl Cox

all the Djs above i saw at GG 04 and 05
DJ Balti
Judge Jules

It's lame and i'm only 17 and nobody really comes round here so yeah pretty pathetic.

I saw Infusion live about 12 months ago now.

They were good, three of them up there, singing, dancing and mixing, its good stuff, much better than having just one DJ up there behind the decks.

Infusion are awesome live. Would recommend seeing them to everyone who gets the chance.

Hell yea, I've taken 14 hour road trips, planes to europe 4000 miles away, I've gone all over to goto these. If there's one thing you have to do once is goto one of the huge trance parties, where ever. Personally I'm a fan of ID&T parties, been to Trance Energy, want to try and make the Sensations one year. Mindblowing parties.

Production-wise, to me (and others I know who have seen him live, or have heard a decent amount of his records) he represents everything that is boring in techno. His records are bland, lack creativity and experimentation and are more often than not based on the same repetitive patterns and limited sample collection. DJ-wise, his B2B together with Christian Smith at I Love Techno 2003 was among the most horrible performances I have ever had the misfortune of seeing. The B2B set with Steve Rachmad at Awakenings Festival 2004 was only marginally better. I've successfully avoided seeing one of his solo DJ sets, and from what I've heard through mp3, I should be glad.

And using a rolleyes smiley doesn't make you cool.

these kind of threads scare me how little some of you people have seen. My heart does bleed for you.

There is no way i could name all the djs I have seen. I've seen 72 of the top 100 dj mag from 2004 and loads of other trance/harder jocks. My only definitive memory of who i have seen is from a t0shirt i have dj's sign.

Only Faithless and their support (The Infadels) that are EDM. That's the trouble with living in the sticks.
