| Ok, I'm a relative n00b at trance so I'm not to familiar with its history (like back in 99-01). I know trance was never popular in the US, but I'm wondering how it is in Europe right now as compared to before? I hear everything about trance dying and becoming cheesy, so I'm wondering how it's holding up in Europe and how much bigger was it in the past. |

| trance died in a car accident on february 29th 2004. It could not be revived so they replaced it with something that doesn't look or sound like trance, but is trance. Unfortunately for those with good aural skills, it's easy to tell this fake trance from the stuff we know & love. |

| Trance isn't big in Europe anymore, in particular the UK, because it's not cool to like it anymore. It's all about this brand new, never heard before genre called electro. Chic as ! |

I have to ask myself, why do I see so many of these threads, like every day there is a new thread about the exact same thing. It happens so many times!
Why god why! |

It really depends on the countries, in some it had died, in others it's just beginning, and in some it was never there at all, but that's europe!
Btw. vote DJ Mikey Mike for No. 1 DJ on the DJ MAG Poll ;) |

| How exectly is Trance dead in the US? Most club goers go for the music, to get drunk/pop some pills and dance. Most don't know too much about it but they will still buy cd's and blast them in their cars. Virtually everyone i know would go to see any "superstar" DJ if he was spinning just for the music. |

| We've not come all this way -- through tragedy, and trial and war -- only to falter and leave our work unfinished. Americans are rising to the tasks of history, and they expect the same from us. In their efforts, their enterprise, and their character, the American people are showing that the state of Trance is confident and strong. |

In my book, trance is not dead because I listen to the same tracks we all know and love from the previous years.
Hopefully, if I ever do come to the European Continent, I hope not to end up empty-handed with zero trancers.:nervous:
Anyway, the date 02/29/04...
I have no idea. |
