I don't know if Avalon LA is moving in this direction or if the Lost Episode night is the only one doing it but...
i'm originally from Boston, and Avalon in Boston(where it all started), is extremely succesful for a few reasons. One of the big reasons is it being 19+
Now i just recieved the 50th evite for the show, but 19+ is a great idea. It basically allows for a college crowd or older. I know many groups who have friends that don't go out because not everyone is 21. This just basically says, 'yes i'm in college and i can go out with all my friends' or even if your not in college you'll be hanging out with people that are far more mature than the all ages events.
i'll see your 2 cents and raise you 4 |

| perhaps another reason for the 19+ rule is becuase fake id's list the holders as 18 years of age. :tongue2 |

| Lost Episode at Avalon isnt going to be 19+ anymore, they are now 21+. But I know Red's events at Avalon are 19+. |

| I don't think Avalon is hurting for business. Everytime I go there it seems packed beyond capacity. |

interesting... the guy who opened the L.A. Avalon was the main guy behind Avalon Boston for a long time. - Anthony |

| I think that other clubs would adopt 19 and over if it actually proved to bring in substantially more people. My understanding is that a couple of the bigger clubs in LA dont do it that much because very few 19 and 20 year olds actually end up showing up. |

which i understand, they expect immediate numbers when they change it. however, i don't think it would catch on for sometime. clubs don't become popular overnight |
