| Only the transfer fee has agreed between Newcastle & Real Madrid but the actual transfer has not been confirmed yet. It's still up to the player and his advisor. And Owen will only be on a year loan if he becomes a Newcastle player. |

| he was welcomed by 20 THOUSAND fans!!! where else would you see that?! i think after staying a while in the club hes gonna love it. (remember alan shearer? he also came to newcastle just cuz he wanted to play not cuz it was his first choice and look what happened with him in the club). Newcastle probably has the second best fanbase in england, so i think eventually he'll feel there just like home. i dont think that a move to liverpool this season would have been good for owen, he would just disrupt the team right now. and remember when he was leaving liverpool he wasnt that great of a scorer for the club. |
