Hey guys. Was just listening to some old disco tunes I had stashed away and came across this tune "Coffee - Casanova" with a really good half a second sound at the beginning I really like and would like to get something similar in a track i'm working on!!!
The sample goes for one bar and it's right at the end. You'l be able to pick it out. It's the high pitched guitar whiney sound... i've been trying to do it on guitar hooked up to guitar rig but can't get close.

SAMPLE HERE

It sounds like maybe a synth somewhere could do it... any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

i won't have internet set up in my new place until the weekend, but i made a similar "cat whine" in Absynth a year back. There is a similar sound in Solid Globe - Sahara and i've seen presets on the net for that sound before...

this post was some help eh?

If you can get your hands on korg legacy collection, there's a preset called Disco Nights Lea from the Legacy Cell synth, that sounds like hat squirly guitar thing at the end.

Hey. This sounds like a guitar run through a tremelo pedal and maybe a fast flanger or phaser. I'm pretty sure you could do this on a synth easily with an LFO and a few saws for the oscillators. Anyway, goodluck. I might try to recreat that on Slayer or something and post what I get.

Cheers,
