Good stuff, man...congrats on your purchase. I am getting me the 824s once I get out of the Army and return home...I don't want to risk getting them damaged during shipping of household goods. :)

Is there a good reason to buy the 824's?

They'll blow your head off with all that bass...
If I'm not wrong they are made for recording studios and in general big studios.

But if that is what you need I will only wish you the best :)

Rico, before you buy the Mackie give a try to the Dynaudio. :tongue2

Yeah, I have heard great stuff about them. I have to make up my mind. If I am going to take producing serious when I return back home, I want to make sure I get a product that will help me yield great results. I just got done building me another room in my house in P.R. to make my studio in there.
