Hi,
Is there any good software that allows me to record 6 hours of music (Trance Energy). It should have an option where you can say how long you want the recording to be (6 hours), so it doesn't go on recording forever filling my harddisk with bad music that causes my computer to stop functioning by witch I will loose the Trance Energy recording. (that was what happened at 30-09-2000).
I use SoundForge 4.0 for small recordings, but after some hours (usualy about 3) it stops recording while there is plenty of diskspace left on my pc (some Gig's). It has a punch-in option, but only for two hours or less.
I hope it maked sense (my english isn't very good) but thanks for reading my post anyway, every help is appreciated.
WTB.

Try CoolEdit Pro or CoolEdit 2000 ... I use them for recording my turntable sessions, I never went past 2h-something with it so I can't be sure if it works, but I don't see why not. Just specify a HD with enough space as it's temp directory, and you'll be fine (just remember - 1h uncompressed audi0 = approx 700 MB ...).

| You could also try Wavelab. Wavelab, Cooledit, and Soundforge are all pretty similar but certain ones are better at certain things. Wavelab hooks flawlessly to Cubase so I know alot of people favor it for recording. |
