House, de stand van zaken... ?!

Oke, weer zo’n quasi intellectueel bull topic over ‘waar gaat het nou heen’, maar....leek me toch wel leuk weer een keer. Waar gaat de trance heen, is progressive nog wel progressief, is techno dood en is hardstyle over zijn hoogtepunt heen? Ik ben benieuwd wat mensen ervan vinden.
Reden waarom nu weer zo’n thread: onderstaand stuk. Vond het mooi geschreven. Over het gevoel dat house heet, over de hele generatie van nu die vanaf zijn/haar ‘18e’ of wat dan ook naar feesten gaat. Lees het zelf even.

Programming that tells us to hate, that tells us to judge, that tells us to stuff ourselves into the nearest and most convenient pigeon hole possible. Programming that even tells us to climb ladders for you, jump through hoops, and run through mazes and on hamster wheels. Programming that tells us to eat from the shiny silver spoon you are trying to feed us with, instead of nourish ourselves with our own capable hands. Programming that tells us to close our minds, instead of open them.
Until the sun rises to burn our eyes by revealing the distopian reality of a world you've created for us, we dance fiercely with our brothers and sisters in celebration of our life, of our culture, and of the values we believe in: Peace, Love, Freedom, Tolerance, Unity, Harmony, Expression, Responsibility and Respect.
Our enemy of choice is ignorance. Our weapon of choice is information. Our crime of choice is breaking and challenging whatever laws you feel you need to put in place to stop us from celebrating our existence. But know that while you may shut down any given party, on any given night, in any given city, in any given country or continent on this beautiful planet, you can never shut down the entire party. You don't have access to that switch, no matter what you may think. The music will never stop. The heartbeat will never fade. The party will never end.

Dat stuk is geschreven naar aanleiding van die grof afgebroken houseparty in Utah? (iig een conservatieve staat)
ontopic: House is voor mij een ontsnapping van de zorgen. Of ik het nou op een feest hoor, in de auto of thuis achter mn pc'tje...het maakt m'n gedachten altijd lekker leeg ff. |

Eens, maar het is bij meer dan dat. Als ik een paar uur geen EDM gehoord heb word ik gewoon gek. Het is een zeeeeer grote passie. Misschien ook een lifestyle? |

| Ik zou het eerlijk gezegt niet weten. Het is denk ik een afleiding. Stress baan, nooit vrij, zie mijn vrienden zelden. Dan is een feest altijd lekker. Maar ik heb hetzelfde als ik me maten in de kroeg weer eens zie. Morgen maar weer eens kijken of ze nog wel bestaan. :p |

Met zo'n hele zweverige tekst kan ik persoonlijk niet zo veel.
Voor mij komt het er op neer: het is niet meer zoals 'vroeger'. Klinkt kut, ik weet het, maar zo voel ik het wel. Qua sfeer, qua muziek. Uitgebreider verhaal over wat ik bedoel volgt nog wel. |

Tsja, vroeger was alles beter. Maarja.. dat is gewoon de nostalgie. Zo goed en mooi als vroeger wordt het toch nooit...
