Either Pro Tools, Sound forge or cubase will do the job and is how a lot of professional studios master their recordings. You will then need either hardware processors or software plugins for example the Waves range.
Agenz
MD3(Poco only), T-racks, Ozone to name a few...;)

Definitely Wavelab. It has VST and DX support, so you can use your mastering plugins like Waves L2 and Ozone offline. It also has built-in dithering which I believe is the UV22-HR, very useful if you don't use Cubase.

nothing beats wavelab, combined with some high quality mastering plugins (waves etc.)...
fora quick preview master, use the steinberg mastering suite in wavelab, load the loadness-maximizer and the spectralizer into the fx-rack, and you will get a well sounding result.

for professional mastering go here: www.online-mastering.com

its not too expensive (about 80 dollar a track) and they deliever convincing masters..
Even major companies like Sony mastered some of their projects at online-mastering.com.
Project 7
I never understand why is it not recomended you just master in cubase with all the midi tracks etc, instead of bouncing to audio and mastering in another program

any help would be great ;)
