Hi Chaps, This is the follow up to Adagio For Strings and my unknown track that no-1 replied to because it was about 15meg :p, never mind...

Well see what you guys make of this one, im starting to improve on percussion IMO but still a little bit more to learn.

Realy nice m8. Better than "Adagio for strings" remix I think. Nothing bad to say about this one, maybe the arangement could be improved a little bit. I never heard the original so this looks like a brand new production, not like a remix to me. What software do you use? I could use some tips. I use Reason 3 (or I'm trying to use it LOL)

Cheers! :D

Hi djsphere, thankyou for your feedback, Yeah the adagio for strings remix was "percussion wise" "roughly put together" and currently is still not finished so look out for the new "clean" version. I dont know how old someday is tho. Im a FruityLoops user unfortunetly howver i used to be a reson user but that sits in my drawer now, i like the power of vst, Reason 2.5 was bought for me but never mind...

If you need any tips, PM me and i will c wut i can do for you...

imho this is a very good remix, much trancier of course as the original mix which I like more to be honest.
Actually the buildup is good, you used a lot from the original Whiteroom track but tried to focus to add a lot from your "style" as well and that's why I like it.
I would say that if you work more on the main synth and make it a bit "stronger", this would be a really awesome uplifting remix.

best regards and keep up the good work,
Gabe :D

My gf is a huge fan of the original, so I'm well aquainted with the it ;)

Nice snip of the melody at the start

When the beat drops away at 1.40, the lead feels a bit dry. Could use a filter on it or some delay it to keep it interesting.

Like it how it kicks straight back into the beat. No slow arse buildups... nice :)

The strings at 2.20 are great and deserve more prescence imho.

4.00 feels like a very sudden change. If your going to keep it that way rather than a slow introduction, try and emphasise the change some more.

The saws after 5.20 feel a bit weak to me. Would be alright if there was a main melody playing, but there isnt really much going on at this part.

Otherwise a pretty nice remix. Good clean sound to the production and nice personal touches throughout keep it interesting.

It starts off good, but i don't really like the square lead sound.
Also i preferred the bassline in the original, this one i don't like as much.
Also i noticed the delay on the bass is panned a bit, this is a bad idea because apparently if low frequencies are panned on a vinyl it throws the needle off when you scratch.
I like the slightly detuned pads.

Overall this is a good attempt, but i think your missing some things like atmosphere and percussion, it doesn't really get much energy until after the breakdowns, maybe add those toms to 2 or 4 bars during the intro.

Actually my gf loves the original too.
But I felt in love to the original. Itīs definately one of my top-3-tunes of all time. So Iīm looking forward to hear this one. :)

First of all, nice start. Like this little drumminī with the claps.
The small melodic part before the real bass is starting sounds very dreamy and catchy. Nice one. :)
Liking the part, when the melody begins to start and this catchy one is coming back again. Nice to dream. Very catchy indeed. Just a little bit as playing "Zelda" on my Gameboy. Liking this high pitched sound. :)
The Baseline sounds like captured from a B-Movie, but it fits really good, my ears think.
Bass is quite powerful but not overplayed, well done.
Now I think, the breakdown is coming. And yes, here it is. Woahow, this is cool, I think. Starts out very quite but pads get it back louder. Like a dream machine - oops, sorry DJ Ton T.B. ;) Found no other words for this part.
Actually I really like the part after the breakdown. The melody could be a little bit louder but thatīs no problem so far.
Really cool mood in this tune. Nearly as good as the original I think. And as mentioned, I felt in love to the original. :)
Yep, second breakdown and this catchy bleepings are coming back. This part is the best one in the original and you made it a real good one too. Wow, really loving your remix.
But one thing is missing. The lovely voice of Amy Cooper. Is there a chance for you to get it in the song? I really love the vocal version! :)

So, the original one is my favourite. But I like your Remix definately more than the EnMass-Remix. Itīs really hot. One of the best things I heard in this forum so far.

Would love to get a high quality version of this one. To use it in mixes, ya know? Really sweet one, you made a hell of a tune. :)

So I would love to have a high-quality-version and a remix with the vocals! :)

Pretty well done. Thatīs just a really hot remix of one of the best songs ever, Terry! :)

Regards, Rock.
