I got there around 10:30 and some "male revue" party was just finishing up. It was pure chaos outside. I've honestly never seen so much confusion outside Spirit.
First thing is, WOW Spirit has changed. When I first walked in, I thought I went in the wrong club for a minute. They added A LOT!
I go up to the 2nd floor. The new Hip-Hop room is pretty well laid out and the bar is nicely designed. I could get used to it.
The bachelorette party or whatever gets cleaned up and these 2 guys that spin @ Avalon come on. They're called Alladin Project. Wouldn't expect hard psy and goa before Graham but whatever, Alladin Project definetly knows how to lay it down rough :D
Max comes on, we chat for a bit (he's a really nice guy)
After Max's set, Alladin Project comes back again, which was even more shocking then their opener cause they played twice as hard. I eventually found my groove though and closed out the night.
Some tunes I remembered Graham playing:
Max Graham- Automatic Weapon
Eyewall- Bad Deal (Remy & Roland Mix)
Dee-Lite- Groove is in the Heart (Oliver Moldan 2005 Remix)
Max Graham vs Yes vs Prodigy- Owner of A Lonely Bitch
Olive- You're Not Alone (dunno which remix it was, couldnt read the cd)
Digifruitella riff into Say Hello (dunno the remix)
The Killers- Mr. Brightside (Thin White Duke Remix)
Da Fresh Bootleg Machine- Fresh Dreams (SICK SICK COVER OF EURYTHMICS)
Daft Punk- Around the World
A Lifelike & Kris Menace- Discopolis
Max Graham feat Jessica Riddle- Gone
A tune Alladin Project played near the end:
Roll the Dice (dont know the artist)
Nice meeting Vtec Junkie, Fr0st, Astral Nrg, DJ Eco, and LordQuinnTrance :D
You can always find teh TA's cause we're always on our phones getting tracklists :toothless
-Afterwards
the craziest ever.
6 ppl waiting outside a deli talking (and rapping in the case of Jay) to strangers. I think Jay freestyled to about 20 people this morning. Most didn't take to kindly to it :haha:
WHERE THE WAS EVERYONE ELSE?! |

| oooo man.... first of all, nice meeting kadomony, it was fun chillin for the whole night (well, my whole night at least haha) in the booth, Alladin project blew my mind as an opening set, sucks i couldnt stay to see them close.... didnt expect a hard and dark goa set to be opening for Max Graham, but believe me, i am NOT complaining, i'm praising A. Project for a ridiiiiiculous set.... then Max came on round 1, which was pretty early, and his first 2 tracks were weak, but by the 20th minute, he already figured out what us New Yorkers wanted :) i hadda leave around 2:15 cos i got college orientation this morning and i didnt want to oversleep for THAT.... but back to the review... .for the hour and 15 minutes i saw Max spin, he really threw down a sick set, not at all what i expected from him, i noticed one or two tracks that sounded like Steve Angello style so if anyone knows the ID, let me know, the first one especially blew my mind.... also another song early on, around the 25th minute, with some rock hook and then an abrupt buildup and then the main beat sounded like a cross between acid and funky house, it was absolutely sick.... anyone knowthat ID would be great!.... Max was a really cool guy, he gladly took Jay's demo (good luck on gettin it played dude  ) and looked like he wass having a good time, despite coming on after a hard goa set, which at first, i could see he was making wierd questioning faces when he walked in the booth.... well, i gotta get going to school (yea, sucks for me, i know).... and Max Graham's made a believer out of me, wicked set for the short time i was there :) |

| Max was friggin rediculous.....sick set!!! Deff up there with some of the better sets this summer. One thing I will compain about though....whos ing idea was it to have a 150 bpm hard psy trance opening DJ??? Although it was good thats just down right disrespectful to Max. Im glad he came on and filled the floor so quick though.....you could tell from the time he entered the booth how pissed he was of the situation but he didn't let it bother him. I had a great time.:toothless |

| I'm sure he played Sebastian Ingrosso - Lick My Deck and it was probably the Angello and Ingrosso Remix Of Say Hello |

I was thinking that. :D
He definetly played an Angello sounding tune near the beginning.
and I was hoping to hear Harry Peat- Affrodizziac (Azad Rizvi Remix).
Sounded like some great points to drop it in but he never did :P |
