Firstly, a message from M.I.K.E -
I would like to thank all of the TAs who came out to support me at Spundae tonight. It was a fantastic atmosphere, and I think that in my opinion, that this was my best set I have played so far this year. I would like to get a residency at Spundae, and so far it is looking good.

My Review:
As expected, MIKE tore the roof off the place. Fei-Fei and Kristina did an awesome job of filling the room and setting things up. Mike came on at 1 and played three solid hours of just about everything under the sun. The first hour was 'trippy' according to him, the 2nd 'trance' and the 3rd was tekky and experimental. The highlight of the evening was when he busted out his new private version of Strange World which saw the place erupt when the drums kicked in. He finished things off with yet another personal mix, this time of Universal Nation. There were loads of tracks that were hard to ID because they are either brand new or out of the way. The place was packed and the atmosphere was fantastic. Had a great time seing the usual TA suspects there, as well as some new faces. This was definitely a night to remember, and by the sounds of the residency talk from MIKE himself, it looks like this will be a regular occurance. :D
Special Thanks to Postive Logic, KittyKrush, Technofriik, Bob, Gypsygirl, Freshcoast, Kristina Sky, Electrophile, Aaron, DJ Fei-Fei, SVGMethod, HotDogWater, Sandy, & kdgirl. Refuge01 - You have to be the biggest MIKE fan in the world. It was great to see you chatting with him 'afterhours' :) |

Thanks to any TAs that went to M.I.K.E. @ Spundae to see our show.
I will have to say the TA attendance was very low, but not to say it wasn't an amazing night, just strange without the usual TAs
BUT, I was TOTALLY feelin the crowd that was at Spundae last night.
The place was absolutley packed, and actually I hear we had more people than Markus did in San Diego!!!
The crowd was really receptive and I had so much fun warming up the crowd for M.I.K.E. (One of the most talented people in the business)
For the most part it seemed to be a TON of new people and it was a very different crowd than I had played to the night before with Blank & Jones @ Avalon.
I don't think many reviews of this night will be going up, considering the majority of poeple there last night, arent on TA :(

I was @ Avalon at the begining of the night to see David open for Bad Boy Bill. His set rocked, BBB was awesome too. I was dancing all night!! Nice, funky, banging house. I was looking so forward to seeing meat katie, but my friends wanted to leave! :( :mad: Oh well, I can see him @ MNS, if I'm not too exhausted.
So I got home, and decided I wasn't ready to go to bed, and walked over to Spundae. I got in and it was a little too trancey for my taste (sorry to all MIKE fans). But, I was so drunk, I didn't care. I was dancing all night lol. He played a couple cool songs, like this song by Renato Cohen. Reminded me of old skool Picotto. My back is killing me today! Nice seeing everyone out! :) |

damn.. cheesy trance ??
if M.I.K.E. was playing cheesy trance, then I don't even know what you would call my style, hahaha
I would have to say that IMO, MIKE plays the least "cheesy" out of any "trance" DJ I know.
But everyone has a diff idea of cheese so... |

sorry girly.... i'm just not into trance that much. but i still appreciate the music. :( |

actually, you'll never believe it, but i had not one, but TWO red bull/vodka's. i NEVER drink that much. alcohol is gross, but anna kept buying me drinks. i was so wasted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eyespop: |
