i know this is the last of anyone's worries, with all the devastation that will occur, but i am watchign the weather channel right now and it looks like the gas rigs out in the gulf are going to get hit pretty bad and all of america is going to pay once this thing is over. as if gas prices werent already getting ridiculous....
i'm praying for you guys though.... looks like its already becoming difficult to get out of there. |

Everytime trancebrat and I road trip down to Miami, we pass through Charlotte County. We're still in awe at that damage that's still there, even a year from now. I can't imagine what those poor souls in N'awlans are going through. (And I hate to sound a little cold, but when will people get it through their heads that when officials say get the hell out, they should get the hell out? When Charley threatened and my zone got evac'ed, I threw what I could in my car and bugged. No amount of "stuff" is worth a life.)
But we can all make a difference. There are plenty of good organizations doing good things down there. Skip that next trinket purchase and make a donation, Red Cross, Salvation Army, whoever. People are really hurting and even $5 helps. |

ive thought about that. those people who died or had to be rescued. its their own stupidity that cost them or almost cost them their life and force someone to risk his own to save you. maybe if they wrote fines or something for not leaving. but you cant do that can you? they've might of lose everything. maybe that's their lesson for next time. |
