Hehe, yea, its a rule of thumb in poker, ALWAYS PLAY THE ACE. Thats why I figured an A/6.

i guess, but man, i hate top face cards with low-ass kickers. i usually fold those unless it's an ace. who goes all in hoping for an ace though seriously? the worst part about it was i pretty much had like a %90 chance of winning that hand when the turn didn't help them out. :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:

Even the best poker players in the world would loose with that hand. I could just imagine the expression from Phil Helmouth if he was holding that hand.

Not 90... maybe 80... but still, its a really ty way to loose.

But like I said... I think it was more of a bluff to push you all in than a play at the Ace.

yeah that guy's a whiny bitch. but after i lost i was pretty un-sportsman-like myself, i just said "!" and shoved my chips at the guy. and then i left. looking back it was probably pretty funny to see something like that.

there are worse ways to lose...

In the WSOP this year, one guy had 5-5 and flopped quad fives. He checks and sees a guy goes all in after he checks and happily calls.
The guy was holding a pair of nines

the turn and river cards were both nines

I've played a few games with Helmuth here in Madison, he was actually pretty cool but these weren't high stakes games by any means :p

I remember watching celebrity poker on NBC and Daniel Negraneau (sp?) called the river and the flop and got a straight flush. It was amazing.
