there is one thing i never quite understood about the AUTA fourms...why is such a hard time given to those that want to share their mix sets with others from the board? this board is an outlet to your peers, the same peers you see every weekend tearing up the dance floor.
This is a board aboot trance music. What is so wrong about being eager to share something that you are proud of and put a lot of hard work into? People should be happy to have an easy source for new mix sets, as music is the reason we are all here in the first place. There is more to life than the latest episode of ASOT or how munted you got on the weekend. |

I Agree!, But, Unfortunatly these guys dont venture onto a dancefloor anymore. Maybe a very small handfull would actually move elsewhere from the bar or 'the spot' they were standing in. |

hehe, learning to mix is hard work. well, in my experience anyway. once youve got it nutted out though, id hardly describe it as 'a lot of hard work' ;) theres nothing against sharing, but we have a promo thread for that.

we have a promo thread for easy sources.
its to prevent auTA from becoming nothing but a promotional tool, thats all. if the DJs that have so many issues not posting in the promo thread just took a lil bit of air out of their ego then it wouldnt be a problem. everyone wants f'n adoration. yeah, its nice to have ppl like what you spin, but it doesnt deserve its own thread, esp not when most of the ppl here have their own f'n website. if people really cared that much about you, thaty'd have DLd it already.
people are taking advantage of our lack of moderation, and webby clearly outlined the rules (see above post somewhere) for self promotion.
now, dont make me send the mounties after you :p |

dont get your panties in a twist guys, no one hates people for sharing music, they just need to do it like the rest of us in the right thread.
anomyst - donno what you're talking about.. you are one of the only djs who does actually post his work in the promo thread.

anomyst is talking about the fact that alot of the time the TA people are the ones who sit in the corner analyising things, isntead of enjoying the music by dancing.
and pkc. i have no ego. i just wanted ppl to actually d/l, but yeh. next time will be for left for the promotional thread :) |
