I am not really whining - I am just stating the OBVIOUS cheesy qualities of some songs - its only my opinion. And I didnt say this is a bad contest either, it has some GOOD tunes as I STATED ALREADY. I guess I am a bit negative on some of the latest contests, but thats like only 3 out of 10 contests that I participated on. What a big deal.
Did I specifically select someone and said something bad about them??? I am just voicing my opinion, and it doesnt require sharp criticism.
I notice SOME people are getting very rude as of late everywhere, must be the deteriorating climate/weather or something.

Everyone has different cheese definitions. First of all, I have to note that this contest has a great variety of tracks of different genres, which I like since I listen to many styles within EDM. There are few "cheesy" tunes I noticed here as I specified - I give that term to post-2000 electronic music: eurodance, some electro house and eurohouse; mainstream adopted electronic music in general - it has a different feel in my opinion. I do not classify this type of music as bad, however - I like some of it and have no problem hearing it, as it happens ocassionally in my hometown. Of course, most of it would not make it on my listening playlist or my collection, yet I happily tolerate hearing cheesy stuff at work, on the radio, etc.
Music changes all the time at different paces through different decades. Everybody looks at different aspects of those changes with different opinions. It is only a matter of an opinion.

oi less of the abuse in my contest pls, and and i dont care if u think some of the tracks are cheesy. Fact is theres plenty of people who would like to enter these contests but cant because generally its overun with tracks that only a handful of people will be able to id and becomes very boring.
I tried to add some variety in there this time (epic trance both old and new, tech trance, hard trance, prog trance, breaks, ambient, house, electro house, eurodance etc) in order to give everybody a chance. |
