Review while listening:

- Nice atmosphere there
- Intro is nice but hard to mix-in (important point)
- In the beginning you reveal the melody, try to build up. Because the melody stays the same, it's a little boring after a while.
- Synth sounds a bit "preset", try to make it fatter.
- Bass after the break is way to hard.

Your idea is good but you still need to fix a few things.
Make it shorter too ;)

btw, it's not "progtrance", it's way to fast for prog
djHollen
it is definitely out of key

thanks for your review, I've also noticed these things with the song and will probably update it when i have time.
thanks for your review.

btw, im always stuck on what type of trance I make, and since i usually make progressive trance, i just slapped that label on to this track from habit. anyone else knows what category it fills under, reply this thread and tell me or something.

I havent heard the original, but as Dj Morpheus quoted , you reveal the melody a bit too early, even though it isn''t progresive Trance, I really enjoy Uplifting as weel, very good work with the snare roll, It's very detailed. I think that the pads need to be heard more, perhaps give them a fatter sound and mre volume in my opinion, mastering is very well taken care of. Good job with this track, sounds like it was a challenge. How long did it take? Great build up by the way. I like the way you bring the bass back in along with the arpeggiated sequence, I love massive build ups, and this one is a great example. Once again, real good Job. Just a few details here and there, and this track is definetly something. The Fl studio sounds kinda get a little bland for my tastes, for example the modified "toil" sound, the bass that comes in during the build up rather familiar, the original Fl studio Bass I'm guessing?
Awesome job letting the track release into full speed again.

I must reintegrate on how much i appreciate your comments towards the track.
It took me 15hrs to make this song of which i worked tirelessly to get it done, which took from saturday to sunday morning.

Your assumptions and guesses are right into which sounds i was using for certain instruments within the song. After all, this track was made completely from the internal vsti's and most samples native to FL Studio, so it wouldn't be a surprise to me if you knew what everything sounded like.

Once again thanks for you comments.

how the can you make a remix of something if you havent heard the original? :nervous:

This is not too much style so I wont comment on the music itself... it seems a little repetitive to me.
But now that I am listening to the tune, I must say that you have got absolutely amazing production skills... Especially considering you are using Fruity Loops... this one should be used as an example to show this program is absolutely underrated by most. Furthermore, it's only 128 kbps and sounds crystal clear already. Awesome job here! :eyespop:
Keep up the good work! And stick to FL Studio no matter what others say! :P

i've remixed heaps of songs without listening to the original song.
it makes my song a real remix and not just a similar sounding copy or the original. In my opinion remix's should be almost completely different from the original song with just the main lead being the same. That's just my opinion because you need to show of some sort of creativity skill, instead of just going off the work that other people did.
Most the remix's on my artist page at soundclick have been done this way.

Thank you for your positive comments cybernetica. You're input made me a little happier about the track than the reviews i received earlier. I will indefinately keep using FL Studio to produce songs, it is the program that just works best for me, I've experimented with a few others, but just didnt work out.
Once again thanks for your comments, i will try to add more creativity and more elements into my music in the future.

the track definately has something out of key there somewhere. this is the only main issue with the track and affects the track in a bad way.

this is one of those tunes that is very hard to rmx and make good just because the original is so massive sounding and just wont work unless it contains those huge hardware synth sounds m.i.k.e is so popular for. i think this rmx works in some places but not others. i recon your main thing that holds you back is a lack of powerful synth sound from a nord/roland/access. try applying loads of distorsion to your leads. sometimes this can give a big sound if done right...
