Hey guys and galls,
I put a little tune up on soundclick and I wondered what you guys thought of it. My personal opinion is that it's a track for a big festival, not for a club so it probably would sell all that well. This one is going to ID&T records as soon as I fixed some problems. Like the clicking sound on the synth when it filter into the track.
The track is still in production so any remarks will be gladly taken in.
Kind regards,
Charlie Darwin
P.S. Click on the recent projects link to get to the track. |

1. Not DJ-friendly
2. The kick is weak. Needs more low-end
3. Very few elements are introduced as the track plays. Makes it boring.
4. Pads are maybe too loud... Nah, I don't know.
5. Hehe, after the break, I think you introduce a weird melody. Way too much swing on it, hehe. For my taste that is. This is really something special. But I don't think the percussians are good at all. Too simple. And the mainmelody is too short - gets boring pretty fast. |

ID&T Records, that's a bit ambitious for this, isn't it?
Ah well. It's not bad by any means, but I would agree with pretty much everything alexpea said. This track just seems a bit too boring to me, the levels aren't particularly well balanced, and the "drums" definitely drag things down a bit.
I like the pads though, and the lead is rather original. This definitely has potential, but it needs some serious work. |

i would say the track sounds a bit dated.
its like its trying to be hard but not quite being hard enough. i would change the synth sounds you use. the main one just doesnt work in my opinion and i think this is the main issue. also try and save the melody till later on in the track and build up anticipation. all problems could be easily rectified i recon. track does sound well produced. |

Well guys,
I must say I have let this project die a little and have started a new one because I think it's too much work to get this one right. Damnit I must admit I listen to tracks in the club when I go out for a drink and think 'How the hell do they do that'. But I'm working on it. Actualy ID&T radio didn't want to play this one for the same reasons as where given here. I only recently got in touch with them through a friend of mine so I'm working my ass off to get a track worthy of their station and record company.
I'v put my new track up for review(Natural Cause) and I'm letting this thread die. I have to get over this strange phenomenon that my own tracks sound awesome while in production but when I listen to them two weeks later they suck bigtime.
kind regards,
Charlie Darwin |
