[House/Breaks] Aigis - Breaking Up The Wrong Tree

Greetings fellow producers and lurkers. :)

After several earlier attempts that barely escaped my own hard drive, I've finally finished a track that I think is worth posting on here! I'd call it... bumpy electro haus wrapped around a darker breakbeat section:

Aigis - Breaking Up The Wrong Tree
(direct link - 192 kbps MP3)

Comments and feedback are welcomed and valued. I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. lest any of you think I've decided to cash in on the ever-growing "breaks interlude" trend, my productions are all primarily breaks and it's actually the house section that's new for me :)

Wicked stuff! Really well produced, really technical and glitchy... exactly the kind of house/breaks I'm into at the moment ;) The breaks bit works brilliantly - it's not as if you've just thrown in some breaks gratuitously.

I think some of the synths sound a bit too random in a few places, but it's definately a really original sounding track. I'll look out for some of your other stuff to see what else you've been up to cos I really like your production style :)

I like the clap :)
The beat is awsome.
Great fxes.
This is greatly produced :D
:eyes:
The bass is great.
Everything is great.
The only thing that I bit miss is some details in the background.
Some tiny fxes on low volumes that will keep you busy. the panning is great here, just two more tiny fxes to fill it up.
The acid is great.

5/5

Thanks so much everyone. :D

Omer: I'd actually planned to do some extra tweaks after taking a "break" from this track and coming back with a clear head. I was thinking maybe some sweeping filters on the drums, the -occasional- flanger, and possibly a couple of subtle and well-placed 16th-note glitchy/electroish sequences in the really thin parts. It sounds like we're on the same page here - I'm glad you mentioned that, I was getting a bit lazy and needed a kick in the ass. :)

TOR: Believe it or not this track took me less time than I usually spend. :p Still took many hours, but changing my mixing technique and adding a 2nd workstation really helped efficiency.

As for labels, well... for some reason it's never really been an item on my agenda. I think I just don't like trying to sell stuff, heh. Regardless, I'm just happy to share some tunes with people who (hopefully) enjoy it.

Thanks again for the feedback! And thanks to Subtle for listening to the early stages and keeping me focused - a little constructive criticism during the production process works wonders.
