What everyone seems to also miss is the fact that it is a 'best dj' poll, not 'best producer' or 'biggest contributer to the dance music scene' poll :rolleyes:
Tiesto's beatmatching and transitions are rather poor, many of the djs ranked below him are better at it and can build sets and stuff.
Zabiela for example, whilst I'm not a fan of the style he plays, I can blatently tell he is a better dj than Tiesto, or most trance dj's for that matter.
But then, fanboys will be fanboys. :D |

I disagree there mikey boy, whats stopping Tiesto amassing hundreds or thousands of email addresses just to spam his own 'popularity'?
The Crazy Frog Axel F song was popular, as such got to the top of the charts.
Does that make it right?

People, please take the following points into consideration before you vote:
- The DJ Mag Poll does not accurately reflect the skill of the DJs - one reason why many of us are opposed to it
- Many people actually DO use this poll as an indicator of the "skill" of the DJs in the top 100. Club owners, promoters, music fans and clubbers DO use this poll to judge the skill and technical ability of DJs, despite what some people have said in this thread.
- You might argue that the DJ Mag Top 100 poll just indicates the popularity of DJs, but many people take this poll literally!! :nervous: It is hurting our scene and it only encourages greed and complacency.
- We are campaigning for our TA representative DJ Mikey Mikey to get in the top 100 for a bit of fun!
- Show the world how strong our trancEaddict community is!
Please, Vote 1 DJ Mikey Mike...then vote for whoever you want in the other places.

no i agree with you totally. i didnt say it was right. i just said the whole point in the dj mag poll is to assess the djs popularity and it does just that. |
