Dr P
Well not always.

Why do you as an individual go to see international DJ's?

What makes you fork out the big dollars to see a guy stand in front of you and play the records that you yourself could play?
kelsta
Well for one thing I can't mix so they can play records better than me. And you I'm guessing from what we hear about the weekend :p

It's all about the armin bum wiggle. As if you wouldn't fork out $$ to see that.

hahaha!

Dr.P I like going to see an international to grasp an idea of how the music is taking shape in other places of the world, often when i see an international act i go for the experience of a large scale party and booming big room sounds!

in the prog scene its the internationals that have access to all the unreleased and unheard of promos that just knock your socks off. For instance John Digweed. He has access to so many unreleased tunes that you probably wont be able to get a hold of in the next year or that you may not even come across in your life.

That and of course the vibe that draws me to see international DJs - yeah face it the vibe is always better when an international DJ is playing

decent internationals help create an atmosphere that you wouldn't have at a normal club night, and local production puts more effort into the events when intl's come over.

then there's the drugs, funny randoms (including our own AU.Ta's), gorgeous girls and thumpin beats.

however tiesto @ home... never again.

what sort of dumb question is that Dr P??

the same reason you do.. to hear good music, usually great mixing, and new upfront tunes and a great vibe.. for entertainment

the same reason you would i imagine

why must everything be analysed??

tachyon
i love going out full stop.

the fact that an international come to visit and play the music i love to hear, trainspot, dance and mong to is just an added bonus.
