wow, seems like all the awesome 303 clones of the mid-late 90's are becoming freeware.
here's rubberduck, i used to play around with that before i found rebirth, never did anything serious with it, but all in good fun:
rubberduck

The thing I remember the most about rebirth and alot of those other audio apps, they were cracked and released by a group who called themselves 'radium'. Shortly after that stuff got harder to find, I started seeing legit products carrying the 'radium' name. I thought that was kinda cool, was tempted to buy a radium keyboard to use with my radium-cracked copy of rebirth. Those days are long gone though, now that there is so much free software floating around. I don't have to pirate stuff anymore because I found freeware equivalents to everything that I previously stole(and ended up never actually using) I actually regret some of the legit purchases I made now that I have found free stuff that I like better, rosegarden, muse, and ardour make me wish I didnt waste my money on fruityloops. The only thing I don't regret buying has been my midi controller, that thing saves alot of time.
I have actually been using a program called freebirth for 303ish sounds, not sure if it has a windows port but it was fun to play with. I havent touched rebirth for a very long time, guess now is a good chance.
While you are grabbing free stuff, did you bother getting your free registration for the opera web browser? |

btw rubberduck sucks.
I had it just before rebirth (loads of years back), and, well, it was just mega crappy. Loading one wav for a drumloop? :o |
