well a few months ago i quit my job at this food/drugstore which i'd been with for just over a year. i had medical insurance that helped cover my medications which keep me sane from periods of depression/anxiety/insomnia.
anyways, i found a job which fit the kind of life i wanted (computers/networking), except it doesn't give me any benefits until 6 months into the job. well its month 2 and my benefit plan from my previous job is over as of the 17th of this month.
so i'm kind of stuck as to where i can get help covering the medications once the plan is up. with the plan, it only cost me $25 for all my medications (5 medications at 5 bucks a container). without the plan, it is about $1600, which is for the same qauntity, which is about a month longs worth.
i'm looking feverishly at medicaid but it seems the only way i can qualify is if i have low income or i'm disabled. i was disabled for about a month because of a manic depession, but it says to qualify i need to have been out of the scene for a year. i thought i could get some kind of plan where i make ok money, but not enough to cover my medical expenses and still eat at jack in the box every night.
did george bush create any programs for people in situations like this? |

insurance sucks :(
i'm paying like 350-400/month i think now since i took a year off from college
and i still don't have dental, which SUCKS cause i recently found out that due to a blow to the lower lip area at some point in the last 5-10 years, i have 3 teeth that could need root canals in the near future

your choices are as follows:
1. pay for continued coverage with ur previous employer insurance.
2. get self employed insurance but depending on the company they'll have waiting periods too.
3. pay for your meds yourself. online or canada/mexico pharmacies will help you save a lot of money. This is the most cost effective choice unless something major goes wrong with you. |

Probably your best bets right there.

Indeed. I almost had to do that but now I pay 50 a month for medical/dental/vision. Gotta love Gov't jobs |
