Well, this will be the second year in a row I'll have to miss the CNE airshow, meh. But you know, this airshow has nothing on the former father's day airshow in Hamilton. I'm more upset about never going to Oshkosh (Air Venture) now THAT'S an airshow. It's much better when you can walk right up to the flight line, watch all the take-off's and landings, go into the planes, and talk to the pilot's.
In conclusion, flying rules!!! |

Airshow was TEH ...I went today and got there a bit after 1...i'd say 1:30...stayed all the way through and took over 150 pics I think...so keep your pants on, lots of pictures coming, need to work on them and process them first ;). I didn't see the B52 bomber :( was really hoping to catch the monster live, but it either didn't fly today or I got there after it already did. The CF-18 was terrific, excellent performance but OMFG the F-16 display rocked my ing socks...WOOOOOOOOOOW....just unreal, the guy was pulling everything out of the jet, literally everything it could handle, the thunder of the afterburner, the insane fly-bys, rediculous aerial displays, and to finish it all off side by side flight with a Mustang...just spectacular. The F-16 definitely stole the show for me hands down...WOW!!!
Snowbirds were awesome, didn't expect that much from them. I still say they need new planes but regardless - excellent show :D!

haha I was there with the fam, let me tell you folks, nothing, and I mean NOTHING is worst for a hangover than the ing CNE.
Starsearcher that would of been really funny running into you finally somewhere at a place that wasn't dance music related. |

LOL....no way...I didn't actually go INTO the CNE I was a cheapass and spent the whole time in the parking lot of Ontario Place by all the boats and such :p But other than that I saw a guy with a shaved head later on the streetcar but highly doubt it was you :p:haha: :stongue: |

man the only thing i got pissed off about when i went on sat was that the F-16 only did a few passes then it had to go back to pearson coz it had engine problems.
and the snow birds really do need new planes. they put on a great show but those things are way way way out dated and arent even that good. |
