My dad turned to his 50th some weeks ago so I know how it's difficult to find a present for that.
So what I did with my brother , we took my camera and asked all the family and dad's friends , how they consider him and asked them 3 questions (every time the same questions). Just produce a small movie after that. He was pretty happy. (Of course you need a camera :-/) |
lol, My brothers in canada & his bank statement came today, I might open it & see if he's in a position to help out :stongue: |

yea im sure she loves teh pr0n. :p
start the day off with breakfast in bed. if you cant cook go to mcdonalds and get some mcgriddles. i think they come with a "M" on the biscuit so you can be like "look i made special biscuits just for you, the "M" stands for Mom."
the rest of the day is yours to plan. maybe rent a limo to take her somewhere fancy for dinner or something. |

Good boy, Ian!
My mom always, always tells me she doesn't want anything! Paint her a portrait, make her a cake and card. She says it means so much more to her. You can do something of that sort, then spend the money as well.
But my great grandmother turned 87 last weekend. My grandmother bought her a spa treatment. It was soooo neat to see an 87 year old, she could barely walk by the way, getting a manicure, pedicure, massage and hair done. She loved it. She was taking all the diva treatment in and loving it. It put a extra pep in her step! I would have never resorted to that as a gift until I saw what I did. But be present with her! Don't know if thats an advantage or disadvantage :D
I say breakfast in bed, go out and buy some fresh flowers before she wakes up and place them on the table, have the house glistening and then take her out for fine dining. Actually, all the women in my family love to dance, but the thing holding them back is the men. If she has a concert or would like to take dance lessons but can't because no one else is interested... do that! Just as long as you spend the day with her.
Y por supuesto! a bottle of wine. or coffee. and a two cheek kiss. and tell her a bit about your personal life if your not so open.
good luck! |

concert is a good idea, there's a couple of her annoying music choices who have ones on soon, if not I might just send her to the posh italian restaurant with her sister and hope she doesn't eat 40 courses :p |

lol my mum eats totally different styles from me, I'm intolerant to many "normal" foods so taking me would spoil the fun for her.
Music wise, can you say phil collins, kylie & michael bolton :thepirate |
