Not a nice thing to see on a Friday morning

My hubby left for work at 6:30 ish this morning, only to see a guy get wiped out by a go train on the tracks at King and Strachan. He saw the guy with his hands up, but wasn't sure if he had already been standing there or if he had his hands up because he was taken by surprise. There's a group home around the corner there, so I'm thinking it was probably a suicide. Not a nice way to go.
They said it was an "accident" on the news. I left for work at 8, and there were cop cars eveywhere.
Shucks. :sadgreen: |

That story sucks... they always report suicides as "accidents" because they don't wanna give suicidal people ideas. Doesn't work though, if there's a will there's a way...
On my way home just now I was witness to what would have been a fatal accident. We were stopped at a red light, I was about 4 cars back. Suddenly this lady decides to run across the street between cars before the light turns green. She was on her cell not even looking where she's going. As she cut across in front of my car, in the mirror I saw a car coming down the left-turn lane really fast. I barely had time to honk when I heard tires screeching. I swear the car missed by no more than 2 inches. I was shocked to say the least. I'm just so happy that nothing happened and that my weekend wasn't ruined. Stupid people on their cell phones I tell ya!! :whip: :whip: |

| I told my mom, and she told me she saw a woman jump off of the building at Finch and Birchmount and hit the ground. She was wearing a purple dress. She'll never forget it. |
