here are some pics ...
:note .. my sis and i took these pics ourselves .. not taken from someone else ..
[edit] i put a small description of what it is ...
a big tree uprooted from the cement.

this was during the early parts of the storm. the water is rising on the car. :(

katrina rips the house into shreads, and exposes the side of the house. what we see here is the attic of the house ... :wtf: .. (there is another pic i havent posted yet of the car next to the house. the bricks on the side of the house fell on the windshield .. :wtf:

the ending parts of katrina .. the water is continuing to rise, as the water from the lake is pushing south, while the sewer waters are pushing north .. :wtf:

Hey man, really glad to see you made it through. Insane pics.
We found my sister's building in Metairie on a satellite image.. looks to be dry but severely wind-damaged. |

thanks ..
does your sister live in upper metairie (above the interstate), or lower metairie (below the interstate) .. if she lives in the lower area, she is safe .. if in upper, then there probably is some severe damage .. sorry to put it frank like that .. :( |

Surprised you're still on line. Reckon you got the power back and don't live in anarchy like New Orleans.
If you pay for flood insurance, there's normally a reason.

Lower area, right off Veterans... first floor apartment though. They moved LSU Med School's classes to Baton Rouge so she's just gonna stay with my aunt there or her boyfriend.
She really got off pretty lucky.. it's such a shame others didn't.
My ex told me her rich uncle's house on Henry Clay is really damaged. This is a 100 year old Garden District house. Of course, I don't feel near as bad for them as the impoverished residents who have no way/money to rebuild. |

Mauresmo is happy to know that nothing happened to you. You should call her.
Using some seriousness, good to know you're okay. |
