How do you measure a person's value? (simple q)

I don't need anything specific about the person. And sorry for the lack of a better thread title, but I'd really like to see what some people will say. You shouldn't be general because nobody can say "Well, I know that I will like a person if she/he does....".

Just post some reasons why some people are important/worth something to you. You don't have to reveal the relationship if there is one unless you feel like it. It's ok if you just wanna talk about looove.....

Me:
There's this one girl who means the most to me because she is extremely similar to me, and I can see myself having a future with her. Nobody else is as important right now.

Add on, just don't snipe the thread.

the problem with girls that are very similar to you is that they wont challenge you. you need to find somone who's almost completly different, but with the same morals and , thats the forumla to a productive relationship.

I'd say it depends on the person. If you look at my closest friends, they're all abnormal on some level. I guess I like people who aren't average, because it brings some unexpected things to your life.

My best (female) friend cracks herself up everytime we have a conversation. I'm this big jackass who always does something idiotic:stongue: I dunno...I'm calm when I'm with her:(

Yeah, I'm just curious to what it is that most people find attractive or desirable in their friends. I've never really thougt about it this way.

This girl went back to a guy who treated her like . She just left my friend for him. On top of that she and all the girls said my friend was a 'perfect boyfriend', and he shouldn't change because of this... it's mind-boggling. If he's perfect, why'd she go back to the bad one? < The main reason I made this topic, I'd like to see what girls have to say about this as well.

One of my best friends can get anybody to tell a secret. She's just really social and I can always learn things from her. I like people I can learn from.

And sometimes, if something happens to one of my friends, I'll be able to tell them exactly how they feel before they tell me. They usually go "hahaha, how the do you always know these things?"

Girls always do that. They'll keep the nice guys as friends to lean on when in emotionally troubled times, and they'll go off with the jerks who don't care about them but have cool cars. Such is life.

With a person i truly value, it'd either have to be my best mate of like...10yrs....through thick and thin, always there.

or.

a lady friend....

....and the ladies always end up crushing the hearts of those most worthy :(

Women simply get bored of 'perfect boyfriends', so date jerks and then complain how they arent 'perfect boyfriends'.

Logic FTL! :(

I can value a person when I cross his/her sight.

so true mate. you'd think they'd enjoy being treated like royalty, getting anything they ever wanted, but it seems not.
