Can anyone tell me how you do this sound?

The clip is of Fred Baker vs Greg Nash - 'Electro Shock' and I think Fred also used it on his remix of 'Adagio For Strings'

I am talking about the kind of short snare roll sound.

You guessed it right, its just a snare sample, triggered 1/16 before the kick and other clap sample which is on the beat
DJ_Ikronix
It's a typical 909-snare triggered just before the clap. It might be triggered right afterwards as well, at a lower volume. Or, it could just be the tail end of the previous sample.

Yes, it is just a silly, unentertaining snare sound. God, it takes so much drive and interest away from the track - how can anyone like this? :)
Beautiful Beast
