psh...armin.
It was all about the demi->digweed->deep dish combo.
or Evil 9 and Atomic Hooligan in the breaks room.
And where is Marcus? I met him at the BBQ, and I haven't heard from him since. Is he MIA, did he survive? |

I somewhat survived. That entire weekend is a bit of a blur.
Sly_guy: who are you again? I hardly remember anyone from the BBQ... too drunk and other assorted things
The place was hugely packed. For those Sydneysiders that were at Ferry at Home recently, think something along those lines, only quite a bit worse. The entire complex was as jammed as you would've seen in the video feeds. |

The one serving chips out of my straw hat.
And yeah it was really crowded, but for those guv vets [like me] you can manage to find a corner or two where it isn't so so bad and party your little ass off. Even in the mainrooms.
But now that you've seen how packed it can get, you can understand a lot of TOTA's frustration with that club and why we tend to spend more and more time at other toronto venues. But LoL just has too many big names to say you aren't gonna go. |

trust me it's just as big a problem as not getting them at all. Going out to see say, sasha and digweed together, and having to just stand in a massively packed crowd while they bang out choon after massive choon and all you can do [literally] is nod you head and sweat half your body mass takes away from the experience.
And it used to be ok, but toronto's scene is resurging to back where it was in the late 90's because of it's new strong afterhours scene, which means the pretenders who used to only stay our till 3-4am are now staying out till the end, meaning there's no room at all at any point during the night. And what's worse, is that the owner of the guvernment has a stranglehold on most of the EDM clubs in the city, plus the Ontario and Municipal Toronto laws on Massive Dance music parties means things are unlikely to change.
This is why the more experienced [aka jaded] Toronto party goers try to go out to more of the 'lessor known' or 'up and coming' DJs when they're in town, or support the clubs whose policy isn't 'pack em in as much as you can, overcharge for everything, and treat them like meat'. We may get the headliners, but things aren't as rosey as they may seem. This is also why I recommend partying in Montreal to anyone visiting Toronto. Their scene is smaller, but it's what a party city should look like. Dance music is meant to be danced to. |

I remember you with the hat, but I have no recollection of getting chips from it, or actually meeting you properly :P
Again, it's all a bit of a blur.
We've been getting that same packed out problem with Home nightclub back in Sydney. The past few times there's been a big international, they've oversold tickets, and packed the place way too full. But again, it is the big names, so you still go in the end, even though you know it's gonna be packed to the rafters. |

Haha, that's ok. I was more concerned with trying to drink at as fast a rate as possible to catch up with you, and other people's intoxication states. I swear, I'm the only person I know who can fail at getting drunk. |
