It was an experiment, which has seemed pretty sucessful, so I will be announcing the start on sign -up for CD2 in the next 2 days. There are a few rules, mainly that you are 100% available DAILY. So don't sign up if your gonna be busy! Keep an eye out.

The link for the CD/mix will appear within 2 Hours, uploading as I type.

YES, awesome awesome mix, very trance.
It sounds so good overall you can count me in for the next 1, that is, if you'll have me :) .
Maybe you could give the thread title a little more appeal, along the lines of "TA Amateur DJs present/unite/..."
TOR
interesting concept. the problem with this kind of thing is the flow.. LNQ totally sounds out of place there. Metatron managed to pull off a great transition out of NOOE, but it is track #5 that brings the whole set out of balance. it actually starts with the second track already, which is way too fast and big compared to the intro track.

so next time you guys do this, try to build up a bit more and do not mix hard trance into prog.

the mixing itself was good, except for the first transition.

meh i thought i did a decent job, i didnt hear any off key beats, equal gain, didnt sound like there was too much of a sound drop from the crossover.

5:35 through till 5:55 is definatly off beat.
psylo
Really good mix. Amazing to think there are 9 different DJs. Shame about the first transition when it was off beat, also it was mixed into just the starting beat of the 2nd track - a drop in the mix's energy. I mean there's really no excuse if you're mixing with mp3s.

there maybe a more subtle beat in there, but the main beat to swing 2 harmony is in sync, guess im hearing it differently, i dunno, shoulda listened to it and told me then, woulda re-done it lol, my bad i suppose?

Tor: Good comments. I agree with you for the most part. This thing was very experimental and there would bound to be a couple rough patches. The mixing complains are very minor in my opinion. I think the main thing that should improve is the build up as you mentioned. And yeah, my track may be a bit out of place. :toothless I wanted to add a differen't sounding track in there while trying to stay with the very uplifting trance flow, but maybe I wasn't so successful :p.

Well this is the first in the history of the 10 track trounce and I think it can only improve. But we NEED people to pay attention and commit only if they CAN! We had a drop-out and a couple laggers, it wasn't major for the most part though but it shouldn't have taken this long IMO. Anyway great stuff, will look forward to the next.

cool concept peepz. great to see some TA collaboration happening

I personally think - for the first attempt and go, it's spot on.

I shall start the CD2 sign up in the next few hours.

it sounds ok, mate.. it's Ipanema that unsettles the mix, because its style is similar to tracks #2 and #3. you tried to change the direction of the set, which is a good idea, but D-Jam did not follow your lead..

School has been keeping me busy, but I've managed to put in my 2 cents. I thought TA mix was alright. On a scale of 1 through 10 I'd give it a 7. I agree with TOR that the flow was lacking and there was a transition that could have been better, but hey it was an experiment. On my behalf, my track at the end violated the mix a bit since most of the tracks were a little on the progressive side, but realizing that the closing is an important piece I went for it. On a last note I wish this mix had more energy.

Although, I did learn new songs that I haven't heard of such as 24 - The Longest Day, Above & Beyond track, and the Unknown source track. Thanks a bunch as they will be added to my collection!
