Hi,
1st of all i would like to say using absynth in cubase sx 2 sounds super clean !!!!! nothing compares and uses the least CPU usage than any good sounding pad synth i used period. But it seems i cannot find a way to change the filter frequency using cubase sx which controller controls the freq ? I tried almost all of them but still nothing !!!!!!!!!! :conf:

Please help

if you mean which it is as automation, all you do is expand your vst folder, find absynth click the R + W ,now press play, bring absynth up and twiddle the cutoff, now do this as shown in pic

then click W again and edit it

In absynth you can assign a controller for the cutoff, or while it play(write and read enabled) play with the filter controller and then check which controller was used in the automation(it has a * besides its name).
And yeah, absynth rules, one of my favorite synths

But i tried that it does not seem to wanna work ? Could u give me an example that b great man.

Since Absynth is modular, understanding how the filters work is a bit tricky in and of itself. Assuming you understand that part, then setting up a controller is pretty easy:

See where it says "Filter"? The box next to it ("CC 1") is the controller it's assigned to. CC1 is the modwheel, which means that for this particular patch, spinning the modwheel will control the filter cutoff. You can change the controller by clicking the "CC 1" and choose from a list of other controllers (some are named, but most will just have a CC number, which is one reason I say people should understand MIDI before switching to Cubase :)).

The "lag" is easy, it just means that there will be an 11 ms lag between the controller value and the actual change in the filter cutoff.

The "depth" is how much the controller affects the filter cutoff. When the depth is set to 0 (as it is in this preset), it means it will NOT affect the filter AT ALL. You'll have to play with this value to obtain the effect that you want.

Finally, the "1 2 3 Master" buttons define which filters will actually be affected by this CC. Again, Absynth is modular so the patch you're using may not have any filters at all - you may have to add one yourself. This is all going to be defined on the "patch" page.

It seems that you have Absynth 3 im using an older version so i think it should work thew same way you configure absynth 3, right ?

I do understand how MIDI works cause im using a reacktor and a v-station lucky for me i have the manual for the v-station so, i can c which controller number does what on the v-station as for reacktor i manually mapped most of the used sliders like filters and delays it works very nice indeed no sweet:-).

Filter automation is cool in very easy to understand i used to use automation clips in FL studio but they suck big time i prefer cubase sx`s automation clips they work very well and im getting so use to the sx sequencer i cannot belive what i was missing all this time !

--== Thanks for the n-th time ! ==--
