College Partying/Sex Exaggerated and overrated, do you agree?

The media and popular culture would have you believe that there is a lot of partying and sex on college campuses around the US.
But I believe that this is very exaggerated. Do you agree? In your college experience, is this indeed the lifestyle of most students, or no?
I would bet that less than a third of all students are having sex. That's right, sounds paradoxical and strange, yet true -- according to what I've heard from many others (even on big campuses) and my own experiences. |

Keep in mind: It's not just my experience. I have friends who went to various schools including big ones on the East Coast.
But if you disagree, great, I just want to hear different opinions. |

| did they play CS all weekend or something? it helps when you get out of your room and meet people on campus and socialize. are there any fraternities on your campus? |

i never went to college because the only aspect i liked was the partying. so i decided i could just work full time and hang out at all my friends colleges and get ed up without having to go to class the next day.
i think it depends on the school/campus, really... |

| I had/have a great college experience. I don't think the media exaggerates it, but then again maybe I'm just hanging out with the group that gets magnified so I'm not really exposed to those who choose to stay in playing video games and drinking root beer. I guess you make of college what you want of it. |

of course, there are fraternities: doesn't mean that the campus is such a wild ass crazy place, though. Again, talking about East Coast schools in the MD/DC area. |

it definitely depends on the type of person you are and the college you go to.
I am not sure how the media protrays college partying n stuff so I really can't comment on if its an exageration. But I used to get hammered about 4-5 days a week. |

There are different circles in my experience.
For a while I hung out with a guy named Eric, and he was plugged into the house party circuit. All the time he had a handle on house parties happening everywhere. |
