Hi everybody. Been producing for a lil over a year now and have come up with some tracks. figured it was about time i get off my lazy ass and share them haha. This site has been alot of help, and just some feedback is what im lookin for...Let me know how the EQ is as i haven't had chance to play it on many different sound setups. And unfortunately i only have the mixdown of this song due to a computer crash so i won't be able to do a whole lot except for mastering.

not a bad tune, like the way u brought the beat in.
production is a bit simplistic, need a bit of practice in creating depth with your sound, more breaks, basically your song lacks atmosphere.
also gets a bit repitious.
good song though, keep it up!

thanks for the reply, at least i got one hehe. Yeah i gotta work on making my stuff a little more complex - pretty much just gotta keep working at it i guess. I have around 10 completed tracks so im sure in the weeks to come i'll have some more up.

have a good one

kind of reminds me of the opening to night rider. can see that little red light going back and forth. the kick is solid. maybe start bringing in the lead and rhythm synths in pieces over the first 2 min since it sounds kind of empty there. you definitly have a good idea of what you want to do, just need to work on sounds. try adding some light effects to your lead. maybe a bit of delay.

if you have free time, just load up some sounds and see what you can do to them.

if you dont mind my asking, what kind of software are you using?
Leighton_Tyler
haha..now that i think of it, it doesn't sound a lil knightrider-ish. Yeah i think i need to add a few more elements to the song. U think it has potential if i keep workin on it? And as far as software, when i made this i was using FL. Since then i've moved over to Ableton 5 - its not bad. Still looking for a program that i really love though. As far as vst's i have the usual, zeta/v-station/53/ect. Hopefully get some hardware in the future though.
Blue Frequency
dunno what to tell you about vsts since i use reason.

good way to learn is to listen to a song, and then try to mimic it. really helps you see how things are thrown together.

its not the program as much as what you do with the tools you have. i know a few people who produce some excellent stuff in FL.

dont worry about making the track sound good as of now since there will always be other tracks. focus more on filling out sounds using effects and layering synths. butcher the hell out of it if you need to :D

the important thing is to start getting the general idea of layering and texturing since you seem to know how to build one. but yes, you definitly have potential. now just refine it.

PM me anytime if you need any advice.

alright, thanks man. Im sure i'll have some more stuff up soon. Talk to ya later...
