visitin mate in manchester who has a access virus...... the sound is so rich and powerful.. just wondering if there is anything similar sounding in vst format.

well there are a few things to do.
1 - buy a virus
2 - try various VST's and see if they do it for ya.
3 - get a TC Powercore and the Access VST
4 - try the Infection "you will need Reaktor from Native Instruments"

Well the fact is that you are'nt going to get a VSTi that sounds like the Virus, but there are some that come close.
My favourite would be Z3ta+ and with or without external FX it is hard to tell if its software or hardware by the sounds you can get from it.
Oh and if you did'nt already know, there's a Virus Mod for it. Which you can find on www.patcharena.com |

according to computer music, Albino 2, is compared to a virus.. but i think z3ta+ is the closest thing..
although, i dont think any VST would come close enough though.. and Reaktor is prolly more expensive than a used virus |

| I'm sure there will be a full Virus emulation appearing once, though at the moment I guess Zeta might come closest. Takes upa whole lot of RAM though - one of the most I have yet encountered compared to others I use. |

GRRRRRR STUPID VIRUS MOD. WORST INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS EVER.
first, there's no way to have both at the same time because zeta+.exe and zeta+.dll go directly in the vsti folder not the zeta folder within the vsti folder. so i just replaced the files in my original zeta folder, now it has the stupid red skin and the stupid default bank for the virus mod sounds, but they all sound retarded. even though i replace the files in the waveform folder, and deleted the user1 file they said to delete, it still doesnt change the waveforms. does anyone who managed to make it through these retarded instructions want to send me their virus_z3ta+ folder zipped? |

put them in different folders... |
