most collabs/sets these days are planned really well. i.e each track seems perfect after the one preceeding it.
Well, anyways after all these years of just listening to music, i've finally decided to start making my own mixes! :):):):):)
yeah, I know, i'm a n00b ;)
I don't have any DJ'ing hardware, nor do I want any. What's a good program for mixing tracks together?
I was just going to use fruityloops but it has a max time limit on samples.
I tried using this feature in cool edit called multitrack view. It was working good but doesnt save properly... I'm not even sure whether it's for mixing or not.
I dont need anything fancy. Just a program where you can place songs on diferent tracks and still do things like select different parts so that you can fade them in and out.
But anyway thats all minor stuff. The point of this thread was actually a challenge for you guys. I'm after a track that goes really well after "Boards Of Canada - Happy Cycling"
But! ...it has to seem perfect after "BoC - Happy Cycling".
Thank you :) |

DJing isn't just about putting 2 tracks together seamlessly, it is equally about listening to tracks and digging through your collections to find those tracks that go well together.
So in the nicest possible way: do it yourself! |

for me its different though.
The way it happens with me is weird.
I'll be listening to a song and then right at the end when I hear a certain synth it instantly reminds me of another tune in the exact same key and then i'll be like...
"HEY!!!! that would go perfectly after this!"
edit: but that doesnt happen with "BoC - Happy Cycling" which is why I need those replies guys ;) |
