OK now I know many of us don't live in the US - but let's help them out by signing a petition against the anti-rave laws.

This is a petition on behalf of all promoters, DJ's, and party goers. This petition is to help stop the "Anti-Rave" law that was passed in Chicago and other major cities. In simple terms, the law states that there can be no party that holds 100 or more people at it with a DJ. If you are caught, you as a DJ, property owner, or promoter can be fined up to $10,000 and/or possible jail time. This is a violation of our rights, the right to assemble. The punishment is unjust and it is time for you to help to fight back at "the problem," at a crime that doesn't exist. Please leave your name and/or contact info along with a small comment on your regards. We will pass this petition to all city halls with the new law. Thanks for all of your support.

That means no party's like Sensation in the USA,
just 2 reduce drugs-abuse...
There's a solution...give Bush a ticket 2 a big party in Europe and he sees that Raves are great! |

THE solution is to elect another President,I knew from the moment that he was elected that it would be soooo conservative,it already began with non-jeans policy in, th ewhite house,is this ridicoulous or what!These laws mean that the states can't really cope with the drugproblem,so they are admitting that they are incompetent,that's how I see it!
What?Drug is the center of a rave,that's purpose,come on,don't they think they're acting stupid? |

Makes me happy I live in Canada where we don't have incompetant -ups like Bush... one of the first things he did when he got into power was increase the popularity of coakhooks... erm sorry, I mean he got rid of funding for legitimate abortion clinics so people who want one will soon have to rely on the "do-it-yourself" method.
And as if they don't know that if people don't do drugs at raves they'll find other places to do it??? |

I think that Mr. Bush has made a very sensible decision: Illegalizing raves and thereby removing drug-problems.
And I guess that we can only wait for him to outlaw masks (no bank-robberies), printed words (no more ransomnotes) and paper (no more forgery of banknotes). At the same time he could issue demands that the minimum age for driving should be lowered from the way too high 16, to the more suitable 12. You can't start running people over in your dads car soon enough!
Also - why not hand out firearms at streetcorners so kids won't have to go to a store before starting a shooting spree at their school. It's so great that we finally have someone in the White House who knows where to take charge and where to let go.

Sorry, but what a complete wanker! How did someone who's only ever been out of the country 3 times, and said that 70% of americas imports come from outside the US (duuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh... doesnt take a genius to realise that its 100%...) get elected for president???
I dont live in the US (thankfully :p) but its damn stupid banning raves to try and stop drug abuse... why the dont the government over there concentrate on the areas with a SERIOUS problem, i.e. the ghettos and slums of cities like New York and LA, in crack headz all over the place and nothing is done. But go to a rave where theres a few ppl having a really good time and maybe poppin the odd pill (no-where near as dangerous as crack or heroin)and its all bad... what the , im voting!

Actually, it's very easy to understand. The government 1) only attacks drug use when there isn't a better war to fight elsewhere, and 2) doesn't care if people in the ghetto are using drugs.
The bottom line is, white surburban kids from middle class America are the ones going to raves and doing drugs. The government will not stand for their beloved white kids doing drugs.
It's absolutely retarded, I agree, but that's how the new conservative government is going to feel. I will say there is a bright light at the end of this tunnel: there is no way in hell he'll ever get reelected, and he will personally be making sure that more liberal people hold office for quite some time to come. I can't even begin to estimate the sheer number of people he is going to piss off. If I was done with school I'd just move to Europe. |
