i just want to add a little rant ..
i am kinda tired and weary of all these stupid new orleans stories popping up on tv and the internet ...
and to top it all off .. what i am really pissed about is how the news, especially CNN, is trying to sell new orleans as a "third world country" with the poor structures, broken houses, naked babies and children, crying mothers, etc .....
i can't stand it .. and people keep ripping on new orleans, or how it needs help and everything .. just want to say this .. i am a born native of new orleans .. i have my loves and i have my hates about new orleans ..
i love the food here .. i love the culture here ..
i hate the weather here .. i hate the government and puplic school system structure (how it really sucks a#s, and thought will never improve until they fire everyone in the school board ... well i guess it happened with the hurricane .. ahahahha )
i hate the rednecks (sorry to be stereotypical racist here) and their smelly tobacco, bad language lingo, and pickup trucks ..
i am enjoying it where i am now, because it is the total opposite of new orleans ...
i am probably not going to return to new orleans ...... :( :rolleyes: |
