haha, true, but his music wasn't nearly as crack-headish as Lee Burridge's afterwards.
I always enjoy Howell's nights, but this one wasn't as musically solid as his other recent NY night. He was a little all over the place at times, but overall i had a blast.
Good running into you Larry. I think its been like two years maybe.
After hours with Burridge was a cool way to wind down too. That place was really cool amd the booth was ridiculous...they had the new souped up Pioneer mixer, which I haven't seen installed anywhere in NYC yet. Does anyone know the name of the place btw? |

| i think it was called apt but i could be wrong wasn t really feeling the whole afterparty but then again im not too much of a burridge fan so it wouldn t really matter now would it ? anyway enjoyed howells set waiting for him come christmas |

| Well I am gonna kinda go against everyone else....I did NOT have a good night at Howell's I wasn't feelin him till like 4am-ish, when I got there at 2:30 it was way to dark for me. He was all over the place and I wasn't into it. I HATE 18+ parties, I always knew I did but friday made it all clear why....I saw some freakin 18 year old girls get into a freakin fight cause one girl knocked water onto the other one....COME ON ITS FREAKIN WATER and your at a club. Followed by the guy pukin in the corner. The only place I felt a good vibe in the entire club was upstairs in the room by the bathroom, but they closed that up about 4 (I think) I finally enjoyed myself that night once I left Spirit and was in cab on the way home. All in all I was very disappointed, I love Danny and had been lookin forward to this for a long time. I am not sure if it was him, me, Spirit, the vibe, whatever but this is a night I would like to forget. |

Although I like Howells in April better, I liked what Howells was playing for the most part. I just wished, like many others, that he not go all over the place and let it all out like he did in April.
I'm also happy that I dragged my friends to Howells for her first EDM event. She had a blast and she's pretty much hooked on the scene now. ;) |

yeah I took my brother out, he just started going out. Howells blew him away. He was so happy.
I was at both Spirit sets, and I guess I am the oddball but I kinda like the fact that he dabbled into some different things. The last two hours he was pretty consistent, though, and that was def my fav part of the night. |

It was definitely the roadtrip of the year! My Toronto friends and I spent 3 insane days in NYC and Spirit/APT was the highlight of the trip.
As for Fri night itself....
Well I know we were all pretty buzzed before even getting there but Danny had us solidly hooked from the instant we walked in. I met a lot of the NY based Howells fans and we held the front + centre for the entire night. The comfy couches came in useful for his 1 hr techno phase (~4:30am) and I also ended up walking around the place, checking out the dancefloor from the upstairs tables and even contemplating buying a Danny doll (I didn't though). The closing of the night was just so good.... shake yer ass Danny tunes that had the faithful moving and pleading for more when the lights finally came on. I found this to be a better set than his own at Aria, Montreal the weekend before but that's just prob because there was less techno! |
