Anyone else feel they sound a lot alike melodically?

*edit* For all of you who dont know either of the songs listed, I have provided samples for both songs ;D
Jose Amnesia's- The Eternal (Pulser Remix) and Alex M.O.R.P.H. pres. Everest feat. Taa - Oree (Instrumental Mix)

taa gets censored :stongue:

yeah they got similar melodies, that's the reason i actually gave this tune a chance (big fan of the eternal).

usually i think alex morph's tracks aint deep enough (at least those i've heard, i tend to get bored of them rather fast). however, they're definately standing out from the asot-stuff because they usually has these strong melodies you remember. cheesy, but i guess they work on the floor.

as for this remix, it's decent. even though you cannot blame it for being original.

edit: talking about the instrumental mix, since the vocals blows. needless to say, perhaps.

Me too mate, i love the eternal. for some weird reason the sunrise edit makes me really sad, but it is beautiful and i love it.

No doubt morphs is cheesy, its the same hard driving bass that is his signature lol, much like armins electronic drone.

when i first heard this tune, it immidiately made me think of the eternal....nuts.

gotta admit the sunrise mix is a real beauty, too bad it was never released properly (only on couple of va-records). i bought a cd called "perfect chill-out" from 2001 which contained a full version. a good purchase, since it also contains stuff from wellknown acts like fsol, tangerine dream, brian eno, fatboy slim, chicane and even bob marley.

how long is sunrise mix you have? mines 6.38, im wondering if i have the full version...

good! man that freakin piano gets me man...its emotional as hell.

!!! INFORMATIONS !!!

Too many people confuse, it is time that I explain you.

On the Web, the title which you find with the name "Alex Morph pres. Everest - Orée (vocal mix and instrumental mix) IS NOT a TITLE Of ALEX MORPH!!! They are two versions test of EVEREST.

The vocal one is not ok. It's an old version of November 2004, the recording was carried out with a microphone of computer and the manner of singing was a first test to see.

EVEREST is not an alias of ALEX MORPH, it is a group of four people (including me).

Alex morph's remix will release on Fenology rec.
This remix is not available at all on the Web except in rip set.

For the moment, it is only available on two compiles:

* "Technoclub next vol.2" by Talla2XLC

* "Feeling white 2005" by ID&T

The ORIGINAL and FINAL version of the title which you found on the Web is not available either. It should release to fenology rec. at the same time as the remix ALEX MORPH. Another remix should be also available at Monster tunes but I don't know any more for the moment.

If you can to listen to the compiles and the version which you found on the Web you will see the difference.

I hope that this informations is clear and that there will be no more confusion.

Good day ;)

yeah i'd agree with this... i like most of them. kinda like what most trance used to be like back in the 99-00 era

and yeah the melodies are similar but the overall mood is pretty different in each.. to me anyway; the eternal feels more emotional & oree a bit more happy & uplifting.
