How high in demand are these jobs?

Just wondering if anyone does these types of jobs, or how high in demand they actually are.

* System Administrator
* Technical Support Specialist
* Network Security Specialist
* First-Level Help-Desk Troubleshooter |

| It's not hard to find jobs in that area, but when I hear "in demand" I think "people will come knocking at your door and offering you contracts". In those professions you kind of have to go after the non-advertised positions. |

experience is key. i got my foot in the door through a school co-op, and now i basically do all of the above you mentioned wrapped into one.
you don't see too many postings for the higher quality positions such as the admin ones, thats why experience + contacts are important... they mostly come about internally and through recommendations. the tech support/helpdesk postings i see all over the place so you could say theres lots of demand for that (but really, no one wants to do them). |
