Well, I really must say I feel delightfully blessed not to be able to have an opinion(due to not being there or even being a TA) about the original Addiction. This way all I get to think about is going to a show and hearing some great music and hanging out with you TA's.

Ummmmm oh I guess there will be hugging and cuddling there too....:happy2:

all i have to say -

it's difficult to agree with any of you. those that didn't make "the cut" are bitching and moaning, and those that are DJing the event are covering their asses.

This is my point. Daniel, KT, etc. go ahead and have your event. it is obviously too late to strip the event of its name because of all the promotion that's already been done. however there might be some sense in the future to discuss your plans with everyone.

what was promised - 4 rooms or something with plenty of chance for DJs (crowd or no crowd) - was not was was received and that's my only beef with you guys. no one gave updates but all of a sudden we had an Addiction that did not coincide with what was originally discussed on these boards.

later.

i kinda agree here. if this is about KT spinning then i think that's just plain ridiculous. if i were organizing an event, you bet i would give the go ahead for kenneth to spin. really, he's doing us a favor and bringing an even bigger crowd than expected i'm sure. and while i can see where you guys (the original crew) are coming from, KT is still a MWTA... so wtf. if this isn't about him, well i'll... just mind my own business

i would've also liked to make it up, but MN is quite a distance from where i'm at. we'll see when addiction 3 comes around.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of KT, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a professional DJ/producer and is being paid to play in Minneapolis (correct me if I'm wrong).

but i guess that changes it up a little. i figured it was another profit-free event... meh.

hope you guys do well. :D

Ok, hugs for everyone, I don't care anymore. But I'm auditioning for a play this weekend in Chicago, and if I make it I might not be able to come due to rehearsal schedule. We'll see how good of an actor I really am...

Kenneth Thomas and DJ Lane are recognized professionals. Several other famous DJ/producers post on these forums. Also, last time, none of the DJs were paid. Had there been any real profit from the last event, we would have gladly shared with everyone involved to help offset the cost of making the trip down. This had also been discussed at great length. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of KT, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a professional DJ/producer and is being paid to play in Minneapolis (correct me if I'm wrong).

Umm, Dude? Im a professional? It flatters me that you would say that, but I am not. Ive only played out 3-4 times. maybe your thinking about "DJ Lane" from the netherlands, Im Lane Pelovsky, a local to minneapolis . I am also a little confused about why you are making this thread when news about this event has been up for weeks. Maybe if you were worried, a call to Tyler or Danny, may have been better, than to make a thread online. I do hope you can come to this event. I am releasing my first EP and will be handing out about 40 free cds on that nite.
