Stop the violence???

so I've been watching this on city tv for awhile now.Sure it is good and all and they talk about diffrent solutions to this problem. Now whats funny here that they were talking about kids and teenagers and how hiphop music has negative impact on these kids and how it is wrong to promote violence thorough music(aka 50 cents and other morons like him).So I thought hmmm why cant they start by for example stop promoting these in gangsta wannabe rapers on much music and perhaps cuting back on playing videos from such artists to show that they are against violence and all that.

Then again it all comes down to paying the bill so I doubt anything like that will happens anytime soon.:o

I agree 1000%. Something needs to be done to educate the youth that being a gangster rapper is not cool. I think the artists need to step up and not glorify the lifestyle as none of the artists actually live that lifestyle anyhow.

When I was a youth it was heavy metal music. We were all going to kill ourselves because of the satanic messages on the albums. Parents wanted it banned too. The real difference is....the hip hop music encourages violence against others...not killing yourself. I wish more metal heads would have killed themselves....it only would have increased the general IQ of north america :D

Where is the good old communist society when you need it? Commies would show those f*ckers what is violence, baggy XXXXXXL size jeans would be useful in siberia camps to protect from freezing temperatures and the gold and platinum 50 pound chains would protect their asses from being ********.

my favourite aspect of rap, they sing about life on the street, but sleep in a 20 + room mansion in Beverly Hills

yea they MIGHT have lived like that. but they don't no more, so why glorify something they couldnt' wait to get out of?

not all the violence is attributed to rap music now come on there are amazing concious rappers , who talk about there lives in the ghetto without violence. It like saying rock music is responsible for the degragation of wpmen , and creates disgruntle youths who have a problem with authority, or disco is responsible for bad dressing.

All genra's of music should be filtered in relation to promotion gun violence, hate ,degragation of women etc etc

Music is not negetive it is those who make it , does it become it

yeah i like the much vibe theme song to catchy

problem is...how do you educate the kids?

if you ban/restrict legal music, you're infringing upon artists freedom of expression...or listeners will cry censorship...something to that effect.

if you try to educate them in school, kids will laugh it off because school ain't got on the media in terms of what is "cool".

if we rely on parents...ha...it's not going to happen either because parents either have no time to monitor their kids or don't care.

if we rely on the artists or the industry to exhibit some self-restaint...ha again...for every successful K-OS or KRS-One there are a million 50 cents. The artists want to get paid, the industry will claim they're responding to consumer demand.

good luck...
