Sensitive fans = people who are passionate about their music. Which is awesome...and how we should be about everything we love, hear, see and do in life. I may not be a die hard U2 fan but I respect those who are and must say I was overwhelmed by the energy and comradery of the fans last night. Disrespecting or bashing people because they don't like the same stuff as me would be crazy. It would all be very boring if we were all passionate about the same things. To steal from Bono himself... we should all be able to COEXIST no matter what our differences...

| Thought I would mention to anyone who had Fan Club Tickets... you have the choice to stand in the General Admission line or the Fan Club line. Last night the GA line moved twice as fast as the Fan Club line. They may have fixed the problem before the next show but just in case they haven't check where the line starts to see if they have more security guards on the Fan Club line...which common sense would tell you should be the case but it wasn't. They had more on the GA line last night and people in the Fan Club line were pissed. |

What was the purpose of the fan club line? Just another line to enter from, or was there some benefit to it?
Also, Graham mentioned Bono singing some song w/a blindfold over his eyes w/a star of David on it, tho he couldn't explain to me what it was all about. He thought it was cool that he had the star, tho I was wondering if he was being 'cheeky'. Can u explain to me? |

The fan club lines purpose was supposed to be so that the Fan Club ticket holders could get into the ACC faster than the GA line. However, security and how things were set up caused this plan to backfire. Fan Club ticket holders always have the option to enter thru either line but normally the Fan Club line moves much faster. The ACC and U2 event staff received complaints from everyone in the Fanclub line on Wednesday so I would imagine they have taken action to fix the problem. It would be an easy fix...put 2 security guards checking purses etc on the Fan Club line and only one on the GA line...NOT the other way around. Idiots. ;) This is why I suggest that before you jump in line that you check the front of the line to see how they have set up security and to make sure they have more guards on the Fan Club line this time around.
Around the concerts midpoint Bono did wear the now famous headband decorated with a star of David, a Christian cross and an Islamic crescent. Symbols used to help spell out the word COEXIST
At this point in the concert the band did turn to their list of politically charged songs crying out Love And Peace, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Bullet The Blue Sky. Bono used the headband at one point to cover his eyes and chanted "Jesus, Jew, Mohammed, it's true/all are sons of Abraham".
The design itself was created by Polish artist Piotr Mlodozeniec as part of an art exhibition that has been touring the world since 2001. A clothing company apparently has purchased the rights to the design is now selling clothing that bears the image and others with the same message.
Highlight for me was when he sang Miss Sarajevo, turning it into somewhat of a prayer. He hit every high note and it was brillant. The stuff I enjoyed...I REALLY enjoyed...the stuff I didn't care much for...I really disliked. I do believe however that they will have worked out alot of the flow, energy problems and will have tightened up the songs that were a bit messy for the shows that remain in the week. |

SO glad to hear lots of u are going! My Brother went and said it was incredible...and at one point Bono asked for all the lights to be turned off, and for the crowd to hold up their glowing cellphones... that must have looked amazing:)
When I went to their show in Hamilton for their last tour, we waited in line for 17 hrs, and got to be in the "heart" right infront of the band. I will never forget that experience. I F*cken love U2!

| it was a great show.the first time i seen them live.Every song made the hair stand on the back of my bag!! I didnt realise that bono was so small,he's like 5 foot nothing! |
