Verizon broadband access

For $59.99/month, Verizon is offering wireless broadband access in over 50 Major Metropilan areas.
Has anyone tried this service? All you need is a PC Card Slot and you can login to their network. 70 bucks seems a little steep, but youve got to imagine that rates will drop over time, like dial-up. I'm considering signing up for a month to check it out, but I want to make sure of a few things, including desktop accessibility.

| Its probably slower, less reliable, less secure, and more expensive. If mobility is more important to you then you should be able to answer your own question. Let us know how you like the service. |

God this reminds me how far behind Australia really is. Here, 512k DSL is still considered "high speed" and is charged approx $50/month.
