what do you guys think of this song? there are a few versions of the song out there
i think the song is just so beautiful.. it gives me goosebumps just listening to that uplifting melody, and those vocals.. i would probably faint if i heard it in a club lol
what are your thoughts? |

| Might as well ask this here - I remember Mauro Picotto and Mario Pui had a song called 'Imperiale' and in the breakdown they had the Heart of Asia melody...so who did the melody first? |

neither, the melody is from taken from Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence |

Hemstock & Jennings' 2003 remix and James Holden's & Astro's 2000 remixes are cool, as well as Rising Sun Mix is worth listening. Other mixes aren't that special IMO.
I first heard the melody back in '83 when i saw the movie 'Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence', to which Sakamoto originally wrote the track for and also starred the movie together with David Bowie. It featured also a vocal version of the track called Forbidden Colours. The melody still sounds wonderful. |
