well, the commandment of "not murdering" refers to premeditated murder, not the killing of battles. |

the translations vary, but if u ask a christian scholar, this is what youde be told. if that were the case, "thou shalt not kill." god would have contradicted himself when he aided the jews in conquering canaan, and defeating many of their enemies. to defeat them, youde have to kill them. god does not contradict himself, so it should be properly translated as "murder". |

maybe it was like in a video game.
like those secret agent ones, where you have the list of stats at the end like
enemies killed: 12
enemies subdued: 5
and by subduded, they mean punched until they died, not shot. thusly, it aparently does not count as killing someone. |

they surrender, and u shoot them anyways. depending on the circumstances, that could be murder. shooting an enemy when they cant see you is not murder, because u know that if they could see you, they would try to kill you. and they would do the same thing if they could see you, and you couldnt see them. that is battle. and thats the sick nature of war that is outside of our control.
unfortunate if you are thrust in the middle of it. |
