I'm pretty noobish so take it easy on me :)
Okay trying to think how to word this. In FL studio, when you go to file, there are all those templates. One of them being called Patch Bank. In that one there is a channel called "Short synth" - Now if I use a different template, one of the basic ones. I get Kick, Hi Hat, etc. So if I right click on one of the channels I can goto 'insert channel' but if I'm using one of the simpler templates, that Short synth is no where to be found. And if i'm using the Patch Bank template, I can't figure out how to get hi hats, claps, and snares in there. I'm sure this is the stupidest question but I really can't figure this out. |

forget about insert channel.
ehhh... i'm not sure cause i don't use fl sounds, but try right click>load sample then navigate to Program_Files\Image-Line\FLStudio5\Data\Patches\Packs it's probably in there, but i'm not sure. just keep an eye on the filter when browsing (where it says "files of type") to ensure you aren't blocking out what you are looking for.
also, the short synth is probably somewhere within the browser (if not visible go view>browser). file through until you find (or don't find) it. |

Short Synth is a 3x Osc generator preset.
To use it without using the patch bank template.
Go to the Browser menu to your left, click on channel presets ---> 3x Osc ----> Short 3
The company just renamed it, but I'm sure is short 3 preset. |
