I don't really have a brand preference but I do find if it sits too long or is exposed to heat it absorbs a plastic taste from the bottle which can't be to good for you.
As for why I drink bottled water. My well water is acidic, has iron in it and salt from the filtration system. City water isn't much better. Recent studies have shown the clorine and floride used to keep it clean and you teeth strong are linked to higher rates of cancer.
Dasani and other major brands are purified/filtered water, meaning they don't come from natural springs and lack minerals which are good for your body. Since I drink bottle water as healthy and refreshing replacement to sugar ladden beverages it doesn't matter that much to me where and by what process it is derived as long as its clean. |

HOLY CRAP!!! i was at the mall and a bottle of water cost 1.50!!!

That's one think that always cracked me up in the US.
Water is MORE expensive then soda's!
In France for example a 1.5 L bottle cheap brand costs 10 cents. Bigger brands go to like 40 cents.
In the US it's minimum a buck at least for a 1.5 L bottle. |

filter my tap water with a brita filter. i try not to drink out of the tap as the pipes are rusty, and rust is no good.
otherwise, i drink Aquafina, cos it has no noticeable taste, and Crystal Geyser sometimes too.
